Life, Liberty & The Pursuit of Happiness

The founders of the United States in their divinely inspired words declared these truths to be self-evident; that we are, all of us, endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights; and that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Pay close attention to the order listed. Life comes before liberty. As a member of the Brooklyn Tea Party since 2010 and as an editor of our website, I am posting excerpts of our President and vice Presidents remarks in honor of the right to life marches 2017-2018.

Life is a sacred gift from our Creator. Without life there is no liberty. Without life there is no pursuit of happiness.

As a proud member of the Brooklyn Tea party I am calling on our fellow members to lend their support to helping bring more human life into this world and protecting our young unborn children. Everyone, without exception has a right to be born, and that must protected at every turn and at any cost.

Here are the remarks and the video clips of our great President and Vice President:

Today, I’m honored and really proud to be the first President to stand with you here at the White House to address the 45th March for Life.  That’s very, very special — 45th March for Life.  (Applause.)

And this is a truly remarkable group.  Today, tens of thousands of families, students, and patriots — and, really, just great citizens — gather here in our nation’s capital.  You come from many backgrounds, many places.  But you all come for one beautiful cause: to build a society where life is celebrated, protected, and cherished.

The March for Life is a movement born out of love.  You love your families, you love your neighbors, you love our nation, and you love every child, born and unborn, because you believe that every life is sacred, that every child is a precious gift from God.  (Applause.)

We know that life is the greatest miracle of all.  We see it in the eyes of every new mother who cradles that wonderful, innocent, and glorious newborn child in her loving arms.

I want to thank every person here today and all across our country who works with such big hearts and tireless devotion to make sure that parents have the care and support they need to choose life.  Because of you, tens of thousands of Americans have been born and reached their full, God-given potential — because of you.

You’re living witnesses of this year’s March for Life theme.  And that theme is: Love saves lives.  (Applause.

I’m deeply humbled to stand before you today, deeply humbled to be the first Vice President of the United States to ever have the privilege to attend this historic gathering.

More than 240 years ago, our Founders wrote words that have echoed through the ages. They declared these truths to be self-evident; that we are, all of us, endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights; and that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

And today is a celebration of that progress, the progress that we’ve made in this cause. You know, I’ve long believed that a society can be judged by how we care for our most vulnerable; the aged, the infirm, the disabled and the unborn.

We’ve come to a historic moment in the cause of life and we must meet this moment with respect and compassion for every American.

Life is winning in America for many reasons. Life is winning through the steady advance of science that illuminates when life begins more and more every day.

Life is winning through the generosity of millions of millions of adopted families who open their hearts and homes to children in need.

Life, through the compassion of caregivers and volunteers, at crisis pregnancy centers and faith based organizations who minister to women in the cities and towns across this country.

And life is winning. through the quiet councils between mothers and daughters, grandmothers and granddaughters, between friends across kitchen tables, and over coffee at college campuses. The truth is being told. Compassion is overcoming convenience and hope is defeating despair.

In a word, life is winning in America because of all of you

To heal our land and restore of a culture of life, we must continue to be a movement that embraces all, cares for all and shows respect for the dignity and worth of every person.

Stand for the Second was a student-led, student-driven movement organizing walkouts at high schools across America on May 2, 2018, to stand for the Second Amendment. It was initiated by students and received technical guidance from the Tea Party Patriots organization.

It is incumbent upon our Tea Party movement to engage with liberty-minded American students in order to prepare the next generation of patriots.

What the Forgotten Men and Women of the Country Now Need To Know – and Do!

The four-point campaign advocated by Dr. Jerome Huyler, who spoke at the March meeting of the Brooklyn Tea Party, is encapsulated in his blog post on Lanterns.buzz, “Our Colleges and Cultural Elites Won’t Save US, These Men and Women Might.”

Dr Jerome Huyler

He was referring to the “forgotten men and women of the country” and suggests invoking the four P-appeals to reach out to these Americans: Principles (i.e., our founding principles), Pocketbook (now you’re talking), Patronage, and Pride.

Dr Huyler said,
why not light a match?  2018: time to show the establishment pols of both parties the door and send an army of Mr. Smiths to Washington to CUT programs and CLOSE agencies.”

The Brooklyn Tea Party would like to thank our members who Donated to our First Annual Toy Drive to help, The Secret Sandy Claus Project. We raised over 300 Toys. We especially would like to thank our co-sponsor E&J Boutique who donated well over 125 toys. The Secret Sandy Claus project is also the Official Delivery Arm of the NYC Marines Toys For Tots. they collect thousands of toys every year, recruit volunteers to dress up as Santa’s and Elves, and make personal home deliveries of toys to children in need all across the 5 boroughs of NYC— children affected by Hurricane Sandy, childhood cancer, poverty, physical or mental disabilities and/or domestic violence. Families who want to request toys and personal visits register through there website. They then create delivery routes, coordinate volunteers and assign Santa’s and Elves to make deliveries to children every day in December, leading up to Christmas.
Thank You all once again.
Glenn P. Nocera President Brooklyn Tea Party.
